HackerNoon Subscribe: How to Gain Newsletter Subs Directly on HackerNoon

All writers can now gain followers and grow their own personal newsletter directly on HackerNoon.

Our new subscription feature will allow you to connect with your readers in a whole new way. Now, your readers can sign up for your newsletter and receive your content straight to their inbox, meaning your audience will get front-seat access to your stories as soon as you publish.

How it Works

It's easy; there are 2 places where readers can subscribe.

  1. Under your profile on the sidebar at the top of the story
  2. On your profile page

You can even do it if you’re logged out - with or without an HackerNoon account!

Exporting your mailing list

Unlike other platforms that steal data that’s rightfully yours, HackerNoon lets you export the email addresses of your followers at any time.

All you need to do is go to your Newsletter Stats page -> Download Subscribers

It’s that easy, as it should be!

How can I make the most of this new feature?

Here are some tips to help you grow your mailing list and engage with your readers:

  • Promote your newsletter on social media, within your articles, and in your author bio. Let your readers know what they can expect from your newsletter and why they should sign up. You can highlight the topics that you are most prolific on and showcase your most-read stories.
  • Offer exclusive content to your subscribers to give them a reason to sign up - is your HackerNoon content different from everything else out there? Then share it!
  • Keep your content consistent and on a regular schedule so your subscribers continue to have fresh stories to read.
  • Encourage your readers to engage with you by asking for their feedback and suggestions for future articles. This will help you build a loyal following and provide your readers with the content they want to read.

We’re sure this new feature will be a valuable asset to your writing career, allowing you to engage with your readers and build a loyal following. If you have any questions about this feature or how to use it, shoot us a message 😉
